Electron Soccer for Atari ST
A downloadable game
A port of the C64 game Electron Soccer by Stefan Heller (64'er Sonderheft 37, Markt & Technik): football for two players with "elementary particles".
Each player steers a ball over a field with walls all around. The stick only speeds your ball up or slows it down - nothing ever stands still. Hit the white ball to pass your speed on to it. Player 1 (green) scores through the lower goal, player 2 (red) through the upper one. Who has more goals when the time is up has won.

Additions to the original
• Monochrome monitors: white on black. The ball is white, player 1 an empty ring, player 2 a ring with a pattern inside.
• Keyboard and Jaguar pads next to the joysticks.
• Pause.
• This manual on the Help key.
• The way back to the desktop.
Differences to the original
• Sound: the click of the ball and the fanfare are played by the sound chip of the ST. They follow what the game does to the SID of the C64, but they do not sound the same.
• Drawing the field, the fanfare and the pauses after it take fixed numbers of frames, measured on the C64 game. There they vary a little.
• The keyboard of the C64 does nothing in the game but F1 and F3. Those two are in the original, but not in its instructions.
